Sprite and Tile Buttons -

When using the sprite or tile editor screen, you are presented with the same buttons, these are choose color, choose paint brush, choose transparency brush, save, save as, load from file and help.

The sprite screen is a scaled 64by64 screen and the tiles screen is a scaled 8by8 screen.

Importing an existing Image. -

You can import images into both the sprite and tile screens, the rules are your files need to be Bitmap Files with indexed color, of size 64 by 64 or 8 by 8.

How to organize your layers -

When you are making levels in GameWeaver you will want to put tiles on different layers, the layers are as follows:
  1. Foreground - Sprites are hidden by this layer
  2. Sprites - Place sprites here
  3. Map - For collision detection
  4. Near Background - Sits just behind the Map
  5. Background - sits at the back
